Holiday Gift Guide

Happy Holidays!

I know this Holiday feels very different from any other and many of us (myself included) have been doing everything we can to make this season a special one despite all that is going on in the world. I have compiled a very eclectic and down to earth Holiday gift guide to share some of my favorite things that have been brightening my spirit and supporting my health during this Holiday and beyond. And of course as a Momma I had to include a few of my current favorites for children! They too are navigating this in their own way and I have included some gifts that boost their wellness, their joy and their creativity. Enjoy!

These are a few of my favorite things …

  1. First up is one of my favorite herbal blends from Nettle & Rose. The blend is called Sun Rose and I simply love it! Nettle & Rose is the sweetest little apothecary located in West Sayville, New York and is female owned and founded! Bay Rose (the owner) is magical and I highly recommend anything and everything she creates to uplift and support your body, mind, and spirit. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase online at this time, but their online shop should be up and running in January! I found this out after I began compiling this list and wanted to leave this on here for the future. Definitely check them out when they are up and running. Another superfood blend I love that you CAN purchase online at this time is Philosopie’s Green Dream! It contains spirulina, which is one of my favorite supplements. The vanilla sweetens the blend and it tastes delicious!

  2. I have to include Fleur 333’s The Oil and Rose Toner. I have been using both of these inner beauty potions daily for years and they make the best gift set. They support both my inner and outer beauty. I love cleansing with The Oil in the morning to set the tone for a great day and in the evening to “wash away” the day and go to bed feeling energetically refreshed. I massage it into my body post shower to help me feel grounded and boost my circulation and my joy! The Rose Toner is always in my purse and travels with me where ever I go. It is the best for instantly refreshing your skin and energy. It is uplifting and helps to relieve anxiety. More important than even these days. Both The Oil and Rose Toner are immune boosting and provide support on so many different levels.

  3. There is not a hat by this company that I don’t love. Janessa Leone.

  4. Silk masks because it is 2020. I recently visited Stephanie Petrow for acupuncture (if you are in the Los Angeles area definitely check her out!). I have been having lots of heat and irritation on my face from wearing masks. She recommended getting a silk mask as the fabric is naturally cooling. I love the masks from Always February. Another female owned biz based in Los Angeles!

  5. Olio E Osso balms. Love their different colors. They are fun and nourishing and can be used on both lips and cheeks. I was first gifted a balm by my lovely friend Heather and now I am sharing with you!

  6. So I am also a yoga instructor and use that as an excuse to never get dressed and wear yoga clothes every single day. And I’m also a mom so comfort and quick dressing options are key. I love this hoodie from alo yoga and it’s on sale!

  7. Facial tools! They pair perfectly with The Oil and are wonderful for lifting, sculpting and increasing the circulation! I use my roller every morning and I feel so so good afterwards. It releases tension I didn’t even realize I was holding! LG Naturals sells a beautiful Jade Rose Gold Roller. And you are supporting a small female owned business! Liana’s site is beautifully curated and has lots of clean beauty options as well as a subscription box offering that I recently purchased as a gift!

  8. Fun sunnies! Love Crap Eyewear (yes you are reading that correctly) for fun and inexpensive options. And I just love these from Carla Colour.

  9. Vans. Because again I live in yoga clothes and am a Momma, but I really just love them and love being comfortable. I wear them with leggings, jeans, and dresses.

  10. Love Potion.

  11. Body suits AND socks from KiT UNDERGARMENTS.

  12. Candles! Who doesn’t love candles. I have been using more this year than ever because they literally brighten the room and the element of fire has been very healing for me recently. I love having it in my space. I love Ardor Bin and have been wanting to try Guided Flame Co. Both female owned!

  13. Ceramics. My dear friend Sara Winkle is the most talented artist and her ceramic pieces make a beautiful and unique gift.

  14. Consider gifting an experience! Coaching, photo sessions, acupuncture, travel, yoga classes … there are so so so many options and I’ve really come to value and appreciate experiences. I love the connection, the healing, the community … really there is so much to love and so many directions to take this idea in and so many people who would benefit from your support.

  15. BOOKS! Always love and appreciate a good book. Please purchase at or order through your local bookstore! I am a nerd at heart and love learning! Livewired: The Inside Story of the Ever-Changing Brain by David Eagleman is on my list!

  16. Since we can’t go to the spa try this pumpkin peel at home. It smells just like real pumpkin and leaves my skin glowing with no irritation.

  17. Anyone else need a new yoga mat? Love this one from lululemon.

  18. Lastly support your small and local boutiques. I always find my favorite gifts in the small and most wonderfully curated shops around town. Many of them have online options!

Ok! On to the kiddos. And I have to leave to pick up mine in about 10 minutes! Yikes!

  1. Sea Star Sparkle spf 50. Makes putting on suncreen so much more fun. And glittery! I bought mine at a small local shop, but am linking it on amazon here for you. I have been trying to avoid shopping on amazon so if you find it locally even better!

  2. Fleur 333 Strawberry Fairy Mist. My daughter co-created this fruity and floral blend with me and it has been described as smelling like “unicorns and rainbows”! The lavender is calming and helps to increase focus (homeschool and zoom anyone??), the rose is heart opening and uplifting, vanilla is comforting and nourishing and the strawberry FUN! The blend is immune boosting and great for refreshing your energy in the moment and beginning again with more gratitude and joy!

  3. Atlas Crate from Kiwi Co. Highly highly recommend. This is educational, crafty, and fun. I love it. My kiddos love it. Win / win!

  4. Rad American Women A-Z by Kate Schatz because it’s never too early to learn about bada** women!

  5. Brio trains! I love these because they feel timeless and you can keep adding to the set year after year.

  6. Have you ever created your own puzzle using a photo? I love love doing this for my kiddos and family!

  7. Kid friendly cook books! There are a ton of options. You could include special cooking utensils and an apron. A few years ago I bought my daughter Isabelle The Disney Princess Cookbook and we still use it. I love including my kiddos in “real life” activities and have them participate when I can in whatever I am doing. I have seen their confidence grow as a result!

Sooo as I began writing this I realized there is so much MORE I want to share and so many small businesses I know and love. This ended up being longer than I intended! I may have to update and share more! Or start a monthly list of my current favorite things. For now I will leave you with this. Thank you for being here. Sending love and wishing you a peaceful, joyful, love-filled Holiday!

In gratitude,

Melissa
